Wild Gift Awarded Murdock Trust Grant
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
(Hailey, Idaho) April 10, 2014. Wild Gift is pleased to announce it has received a $114,000 grant from the prestigious M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. These funds will be used to establish a development program to help Wild Gift build capacity as it transitions from a volunteer based to a professionally run sustainable organization and meets its ambitious growth targets.
“We are thrilled and honored to be recipients of this generous award”, said Executive Director Deborah Knapp. “The grant will allow us to hire development assistance and be a real game changer adding needed relief to our tough, but tiny staff”.
The Murdock Trust was created by the will of the late Melvin J. (Jack) Murdock, who was a co-founder of Tektonix, Inc of Beaverton Oregon and a resident of Vancouver Washington. The Trust's mission is to enrich the life of Pacific Northwest by providing grants to organizations that seek to strengthen the region's educational, cultural and spiritual base in creative and sustainable ways.
