Wild Gift Hires New Development Director
Wild Gift is pleased to announce the hiring of Christy LeFaivre Giles as its new Development Director.
Christy brings diverse development and marketing skills and experience from her time at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bellevue Art Museum and over 15 years of professional experience in relationship building as Director of Admissions and Recruiting at the Bush School and the Seattle Teacher Residency Program at the University of Washington in Seattle.
While recently moving to the Wood River Valley with her husband and 3 children, Christy is no newcomer. She has been coming to the area for over 20 years and her father, Rick LeFaivre, is one of the driving forces behind the Ketchum Innovation Center and the Sun Valley Angels, a local impact investment group recently formed in the area. Giles views Wild Gift as another way for this community to support social entrepreneurs in this area and beyond.
“I believe whole-heartedly in this notion of the “wild gift,” that people and ideas can be transformed in nature. It happened to me … I believe that it can happen for others.” Said Giles. “Supporting Wild Gift Fellows can stimulate the economy and change the world at the same time … I am thrilled to be a part of something that is meaningful and connected to the wilderness that I love!”
The position is funded in large part by a three-year grant award from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
